Introduction – What does this module offer me?
The Content Pages module helps you flexibly and attractively present individual content on your Guestnet platform. Whether important information, links or PDF files – with content pages you offer guests added value directly within your digital guest app. The number of available pages depends on your contract.
Feature Overview
These features are available in the Content Pages module:
Text and Image: You can define the title of the box, write custom text, and upload up to six images that are displayed within the content page.
Internal Link: You can create a targeted link to internal content within your Guestnet.
External Link: You have the option to include an external link. If this field is filled in, the guest will be taken directly to the linked website when clicking the box. In this case, other content such as text and images will no longer be visible.
Request Form: In addition to title, text, and image, a standardized request form can be displayed. This form is not customizable – the fields are fixed and cannot be modified.
Contact Details & Buttons: By filling in certain fields on the right-hand side (email, phone, website), buttons are automatically created that allow guests to take direct actions such as sending an email or making a call.
PDF Files: You can upload one or more PDF files, which will then appear as clickable titles within the box. In this case too, we recommend disabling the back function.

How to Set Up the Content Pages Module
Open the Settings area in the backend using the gear icon at the top right.
Select the Main Menu section from the menu.
Click on “+ New Content Page” in the view.
The new content page is created as an empty box. This will be activated for you by the Guestnet team – the number of available pages depends on your contract.
By adding a new content page, you can:
Optional: In addition to the text and image area, there is a field for an internal link.
Here you can refer specifically to internal content from Guestnet – for example, to desired modules in the archive or to specific categories.
If categorization is intended, please make sure to enter the corresponding ID correctly.
When linking to certain modules (Gastronomy, Sports & Activities, In the surroundings), it is possible to make further settings.
You can link to a specific category, for example Shops. Then you have the option to link within this category to a further subcategory, for example only sporting goods.Under the “Area” filter, you can specifically display only a desired region of the module.
The selection “Only open” causes only gastronomic businesses, shops, etc. that are currently open to be displayed.
Please note: For this function to work correctly, sufficient data maintenance of the opening hours is required.
Optional: In addition to the internal link, you can also insert an external link. Once this field is filled in:
the guest will be redirected directly to the linked website upon clicking the box
all other content (text, image) will no longer be visible
we recommend disabling the back function in this case, as some websites do not allow return linking – this can lead to an error message
Optional: You have the option to integrate a request form. This is not customizable – the fields are fixed and cannot be changed.
Optional: Contact details and additional buttons
If you do not use an external link, you can instead fill out the "Contact" section on the right-hand side. This automatically generates buttons with the following functions:
Email field: The guest clicks the button and the device's email app opens with the pre-filled address
Phone field: Clicking initiates a call to the entered number
Website + Button text: A button appears with the title from the "Button Text" field. Clicking it opens the stored website – this option is particularly suitable in combination with text and image
Optional: You can also upload one or more PDF files. These are displayed in the content page with a title and can be opened individually.
When the content page is saved, it is automatically stored in the archive.

No, the content pages are publicly accessible unless explicitly configured otherwise. The feature to make content available only to registered guests is available exclusively to customers with the Guest Login module.

Yes, you can customize the page structure by changing the position of individual boxes (menu items) in the main menu. To do this, press and hold the grey dots on the desired box and move it to the desired position using drag and drop. Please make sure that the corresponding group is expanded beforehand.

We advise against integrating internal content (e.g., other content pages or Guestnet modules) as external links within a content page.
Technically, it is possible to insert the URL of an existing Guestnet page into the "External Link" field – however, this has several disadvantages:
Duplicate headers and navigation: Since the content is opened in a new instance of Guestnet, menu bars, headers or logos may appear twice
Back function becomes problematic: As it is technically an external redirect, navigation does not behave as expected – the back button often does not work properly or leads to an empty page
Display issues on mobile devices: On smartphones or tablets, layout errors may occur as the system treats the internal content like a foreign website
Loss of context and functions: The called page may lack contextual content or actions (e.g., current booking data), as these cannot be "transferred"
