Introduction – What does this module do for me?

The Breakfast Order Service module helps you digitize and automate the breakfast process. It provides a modern, contactless experience – directly integrated into your Guestnet platform.


Function Overview

These functions are available in the Breakfast Order Service module:

  • Configurable intro texts, base price options, order deadlines

  • Product management with categories, images, and multilingual support

  • Flexible time and day control (e.g., ordering for multiple days)

  • Overview and export of all received orders

  • Edit, deactivate, and sort products

GDPR-compliant, mobile optimization, automation of previous day orders


How to set up the Breakfast Order Service module

  1. Open the backend section Guestapp > Breakfast Order Service

  2. Configure the following in the Settings area:

    • Intro text (optional – otherwise a default text will be used)

    • Base price (per person or per order)

    • Time period & times, e.g., serving period, previous day order deadline

    • Multi-day orders, e.g., up to 7 days in advance

    • Disable days, e.g., holidays, rest days

  3. Activate the "Ask for number of people" option if needed

  4. Optionally activate automatic transfer from the previous day

  5. In the submenu “Custom Breakfast”, create categories and add new products:

    • Title and description (multilingual)

    • Assign category

    • Upload image in JPG format (optional)

    Save all entries and test the view in the guest area

  6. Adjust the product order if needed (drag & drop)


FAQ about the module

Does the guest have to be logged in to use the module?

No, ordering is also possible without prior login.

Note: If the main menu is configured to restrict access to the “My Stay” section to logged-in guests only, this section will be visible exclusively to authenticated users.


Can I deactivate the module for specific locations?

Yes, in “Location Management” you can assign modules individually.

Are the orders saved?

Yes, all orders can be viewed and exported in the backend.

Can I exclude specific days from ordering?

Yes, you can deactivate individual days and add custom notes.

What happens with automatic transfer from the previous day?

The products from the previous order are automatically preselected.

How do I export orders?

Go to “Custom Breakfast” module under Orders. There you can:

  • Filter by day, time period, room, product, or serving time

  • Export or print a list

  • Use the data for billing

Are the orders posted in the PMS?

Automatic item postings are currently only active with the ASA interface.

The breakfast order is always posted within 30 minutes after the order deadline, so that any possible changes are taken into account and only the final order is transferred.
