Share files and photos in the Forum
Any user can upload pictures, videos, or documents to the Forum of a Virtual Emergency Operations Centre (VEOC) session, up to 50 MB per file. The upload posts as a link every user can open, and every attachment lands in the session report automatically. A photo from the incident scene beats three paragraphs describing it.
Before you start
You need to be in an active session as a user. Observers cannot upload.
Steps
In the Forum, click the Attach Documents icon (the paperclip).
Select a file from your desktop or another location.
Fill in the required fields: File Description and Display File Name. Write them for the person opening the file under pressure, not for yourself.
Click Upload. A confirmation appears and the file posts to the Forum for all users.
Anyone can click the link in the Forum to open the attachment.
On mobile: the attach options are built for the field. Choose Upload an attachment, Take and post a photo with your camera, or Select and post an image from your device. To browse everything already shared, open Menu and select Attachments for the full list, the same set you see on the web.
Where attachments end up
Every uploaded attachment is listed and downloadable in the session report, so nothing shared in the moment is lost afterward. See View session and attendance reports.
Files shared inside a breakout room stay in that room unless you cross-post them to the main Forum. See Manage and close a breakout room.
