Scenario 1: Switching from a Personal Subscription to a Family Subscription
If you are currently on a monthly or annual personal plan and want to switch to a monthly or annual family plan, you can do this directly through your device's subscription settings.
On your iOS device, go to Settings app, then tap on your name
Choose on Subscriptions
Find and tap on the Habitify subscription
Tap on View Plans or See All Plans
Find and choose the Family Plan (which has the higher price)
Follow the following instructions on the screen to complete your purchase.
Scenario 2: Switching from a Personal Subscription to a Lifetime Family Plan
Moving from a recurring subscription to a one-time Lifetime purchase requires a couple of extra steps because you cannot directly "upgrade" a subscription to a lifetime purchase.
Here are your two best options:
Option A (Recommended): Wait for Your Current Plan to Expire
First, cancel the auto-renewal of your current monthly or annual subscription to ensure you are not charged again.
Wait for your current subscription period to end. Your account will then revert to the Free version.
Once your account is on the Free plan, you can purchase the Lifetime Family plan directly from the app's upgrade screen.
Option B (Faster Alternative): Use a Family Member's Account
Have a family member who is currently on a Free Habitify account purchase the Lifetime Family plan from their device.
That family member will then become the "organizer" and can share the lifetime access with you and the rest of the family through Apple's Family Sharing.
Scenario 3: You Already Own a Personal Lifetime Plan
If you have already purchased a Personal Lifetime plan, it is important to understand that this plan is a complete, one-time purchase for your individual account. Think of it like buying the product outright.
Because of this, there is no direct way to "upgrade" or "switch" a Personal Lifetime plan to a Family Lifetime plan. The two are considered separate products.
If you own a Personal Lifetime plan and wish to provide access to your family, the solution is to purchase a separate Family Plan (either a subscription or another Lifetime plan) for your family members. This new purchase can be made by you or another family member who will act as the organizer.
