We understand that users who have set their device or App Store/Google Play account region to Mainland China may find they cannot sign up or log in to Habitify using their Google Account or Apple ID. Instead, they might only be able to use a Guest account.

Cause

This difference isn't a bug in the Habitify app itself, but stems from factors related to regulations and service availability in Mainland China:

  1. Region-Specific App Version: When you set your device/app store region to Mainland China, you download and use the version of Habitify specifically designed for this market.

  2. Google Services Blocked: Most Google services, including the Google Sign-in system, are unavailable or blocked in Mainland China. Therefore, the Habitify version for this region cannot offer the Google login feature.

  3. Apple ID Sign-in: While Apple operates in China, integrating Sign in with Apple into third-party apps might be restricted by local regulations or developer decisions to comply with laws or focus on more common login methods in that market. As a result, this feature may also be disabled in the app version for Mainland China.

Available Options

When using the Habitify version for the Mainland China region, you can start using Habitify immediately with a guest account.

Please note that, a auest account data is typically stored only locally on your device. This means you could lose your data if you delete the app, switch to a new device, or reset your device.

Important Considerations

  • This limitation is directly linked to the Region setting of your device or app store account, not necessarily your current physical location.

  • Changing your device/App Store/Google Play region setting to another country (e.g., the US) might allow you to access the Habitify version with full Google/Apple ID login options. However, this can affect your other apps, payment methods, and access to content on the App Store/Google Play. Please consider this carefully and follow Apple/Google guidelines if you choose to change your region.

We understand this may be inconvenient and appreciate your understanding regarding these limitations, which are outside of Habitify's direct control due to regulations and the technical environment in specific regions.
