When you want to analyze your performance for a specific habit, the Single Progress View is your dedicated dashboard. On website & desktop app, it even offers a detailed, wide-scale look at your consistency, streaks, and trends, similar to the view on your phone but optimized for a larger screen.
To access it, simply click on any habit from your main Journal screen. This guide will walk you through each section of this powerful view, from top to bottom, from left to right.
The Header Bar: Your Control Center
At the top of the screen, you'll find three key actions to manage your view and your habit:
Time Filter: Switch your view between a specific Month or the entire Year.
Configure Habit: Select this option to open the habit's settings and make any necessary adjustments.
Log Progress: Manually enter a progress value for a specific date, perfect for correcting or back-logging entries.
The Current Streak: Your Momentum Score
This section highlights your current streak, which is the number of continuous periods you have successfully completed your goal. With our Smarter Streak system, this is now more accurate than ever:
Daily-based streak: For habits with a goal set per day.
Weekly-based streak: For habits with a goal set per week.
Monthly-based streak: For habits with a goal set per month.
Yearly-based streak: For habits with a goal set per year.
Summary: Your Monthly Report Card
This section provides a quick briefing of your performance for the selected month, comparing it to the previous month.
Completed: The number of days you met or exceeded your goal.
Failed: The number of days you explicitly marked the habit as "Failed." (This only counts days you manually marked as failed, not days you missed or made partial progress on)
Skipped: The number of days you marked the habit as "Skipped."
Total: The sum of all the progress values you logged during the selected month.
Next to each metric, you'll see a small number indicating whether your performance has increased or decreased compared to the month before.
Dual Calendar View: A Side-by-Side Comparison
This section gives you a clear, visual representation of your daily consistency. It shows a calendar for the currently selected month right next to the calendar for the previous month, making it easy to compare your performance and spot patterns.
Pro-Tip: Use this view to see if your consistency improved after starting a new routine or to identify specific weeks where you tend to fall off track.
Streaks: A Detailed History of Your Chains
Here, you can see a detailed breakdown of every streak you've built for this habit. The visualization adapts based on your habit's goal type:
For Daily Habits: It shows a list of all the individual streaks you've achieved over time.
For Weekly Habits: It displays your completion for each week as a progress bar, showing how consistently you've hit your weekly target.
For Monthly Habits: This section shows your completion for each month as a progress bar.
For Monthly Habits: Similarly, it shows your completion for each year as a progress bar.
Trending Chart: Analyze Your Performance Over Time
The trending chart is a powerful tool for spotting long-term patterns in your behavior.
Configure The Data Aggregation: The chart offers powerful filtering options that allow you to aggregate your performance data over different time horizons. You can choose to group your total logged values by Day, Week, Month, or Year, enabling both granular analysis and a high-level overview of your long-term trends.
See Your Average: The chart displays an average number for your performance over each period.
Visualize Your Progress: A column chart shows the actual total value you logged for each period. You can hover your mouse over any column to see the exact value.
Track Against Your Goal:
A red dashed line on the chart represents the goal you set for the habit.
This line makes it easy to instantly see if your performance for a period was above, below, or on target.
The line is context-sensitive. For example: if your habit has a weekly goal, the dashed line will only appear when you filter the chart by 'Week'.
By leveraging these features, the Trending Chart becomes an indispensable tool for long-term analysis. Use it to celebrate your periods of high consistency, identify challenging times, and adjust your strategy for continued improvement and success.
