At Habitify, we've always believed in the power of consistency and data to help you achieve your goals. But we also know that the path to self-improvement is often easier and more enjoyable when you have company.

That's why we're thrilled to introduce Circle โ€“ a feature designed to bring social accountability and shared motivation directly into your Habitify experience.

What is a Habitify Circle?

A Habitify Circle is your private space to connect, share, and grow with the people who matter most to you. Itโ€™s a small group where you and other members can share progress on specific habits, cheer each other on, and hold one another accountable.

Imagine training for a marathon with your running buddies, learning a new language with classmates, or even just committing to drinking more water with your family. With Circle, you transform the solitary act of tracking habits into a collective, supportive, and fun experience.

Key benefits of starting a Circle

  • Boosted Motivation: Seeing your friends' progress can be the exact nudge you need on days when your own motivation is low.

  • Friendly Accountability: When you know others are watching, you're more likely to stick to your commitments. A little positive peer pressure goes a long way!

  • Celebrate Together: Share your successes and celebrate milestones as a group, making the journey as rewarding as the destination.

Invite & Manage People to Your Circle

How to Invite People to Your Circle

A Circle comes alive with its members. Hereโ€™s how to invite your friends, family, or colleagues to join your journey, with full control over your group's privacy.

Here's how:

  1. Tap on the Circle you want to invite people to.

  2. Tap the Share icon in the top right corner. Alternatively, tap the Invite button located on the member bar.

  3. Before sharing, you can decide how people join. The Auto Approve option gives you full control.

    • Turn Auto Approve ON if it is for public or open groups. Anyone who clicks your invitation link will be able to join the Circle instantly, without needing your permission.

    • Turn Auto Approve OFF if you want to keep your Circle private. When someone requests to join via your link, you will receive a notification and must manually accept them before they become a member.

  4. Choose how you want to send the invitation:

    • Via Message: Send the link directly through Message app.

• Share Link Directly: This presents the link and other sharing options.

    • Copy Link: Copy the unique invitation link and paste it anywhere you likeโ€”in an email, a group chat, or a social media post.

Share & Manage Your Habits to Circle

How to Share your Habits

Sharing your progress is the heart of a Habitify Circle. Itโ€™s how you inspire others and get motivated in return. Hereโ€™s how to select which habits you want to share with your group.

  1. In your Circle, tap on your own profile picture

  2. Depending on whether you've shared before:

    • If you haven't shared any habits yet, tap the Selects Habits to Share button.

    • If you are already sharing habits and want to add or change them, scroll to the end of the screen and tap Manage Shared Habits.

  3. A list of all your personal habits will appear. Tap on each habit you wish to share with this Circle. When you're ready, tap Next.

  4. A final screen will show the habits you've selected. Review the list one last time and tap Confirm to finalize your choice.

Once you confirm, your shared habits become visible to everyone in the Circle. This transparency is key to accountability and motivation. For each habit you share, members will see:

  • Your Progress Map: A visual block map showing your check-ins for the last 3 months of your habit, giving a great snapshot of your consistency.

  • Your Habit Goal: The goal you've set for that habit (e.g., 'Drink 2 liters of water' or 'Read 20 pages').

  • Your Current Streak: Your current streak for the habit, a powerful motivator that the group can celebrate with you.

Rest assured, your privacy is paramount. All your personal notes and mood entries for any habit remain completely hidden and for your eyes only.

How to Manage Your Shared Habits

As you progress on your journey, you might want to share new ambitions with your Habitify Circle or perhaps make a certain habit private again. Managing what you share is simple and gives you complete control over your privacy and focus within the group.

  • In your Circle, on the member bar, tap on your profile picture

  • Scroll down to the very bottom of your list of shared habits. You will see a button labeled Manage Shared Habits. Tap on it.

  • You will now see your complete list of personal habits. A checkmark indicates a habit that is currently being shared with this Circle.

    • To Share a New Habit: Simply tap on any habit in the list that doesn't have a checkmark. It will become selected.

    • To Stop Sharing a Habit: Tap on a habit that already has a checkmark. The checkmark will disappear, un-selecting it.

  • Once you have finished adding and removing habits, tap the Next button.

  • A preview screen will appear, showing you a final summary of which habits will be shared going forward. Tap Confirm.

Understanding what your Circle members see after you make changes is important:

  • When You Add a New Habit: The newly shared habit will immediately appear on your profile within the Circle. Other members will be able to see its progress map, your goal, and your current streak. However, its contribution to collective achievements like Unity Streaks will begin from the next day.

  • When You Stop Sharing a Habit: The habit is immediately removed from your public profile within that Circle. Other members will no longer be able to see its progress map or any other details.

This flexibility ensures that your shared habits always reflect your current focus. Feel free to update your list anytime to keep your Circle journey relevant and aligned with your personal growth.

Manage Your Circle

As the creator of the circle, you have the full rights to edit, archive, or delete the circle as well as its members.

How to Edit Your Circle

  1. Open your Circle and navigate to the About tab.

  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap on Edit Circle.

  3. You can now edit the following details: Circle Name, Description, Circle Background (Cover Photo)

  4. After making your desired changes, tap the Done button in the top right corner to save.

How to Remove a Member from Your Circle

There may be times when you need to remove a member from your Circle. This action is straightforward but should be used thoughtfully.

  1. Open the Circle you manage and tap on the About tab.

  2. In the 'About' section, locate the Member list which shows everyone currently in the Circle.

  3. Find the specific member you wish to remove. Swipe their name to the left to reveal the 'Remove' option, and tap on Remove.

  4. A confirmation pop-up will appear. To finalize the removal, tap on Remove.

The member is immediately removed from the Circle. Their shared habits and future progress will no longer be visible or contribute to the group. Importantly, this action does not affect the Circle's past achievements; all milestones the group reached together will remain in your history.

How to Archive Your Circle

When a challenge or goal is complete, you may want to preserve the Circle as a memory without it being active. Archiving is the perfect tool for this.

  1. Open your Circle and go to the About tab.

  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap on Archive Circle.

  3. A pop-up will appear explaining the consequences. To proceed, tap Archive.

Your Circle is put into a permanent Read-Only mode. All members can still view the Circle and its history, but no new activities will be updated. Habit progress will be frozen at the moment of archiving.

Important: This action is irreversible. An archived Circle cannot be made active again.

How to Delete Your Circle

Deleting a Circle is a permanent action that removes the group and all its data forever. This should only be used when you are absolutely certain you no longer need the Circle.

  1. Open your Circle and navigate to the About tab.

  2. Scroll to the very bottom of the screen and tap on Delete Circle.

  3. A confirmation pop-up will appear. This is the final safety measure. You must manually type the word DELETE into the text field to prove your intent.

  4. Once you have typed DELETE, the final Delete button will become active. Tap it to permanently erase the Circle.

This action cannot be undone, and all collective achievements associated with the Circle will be removed permanently as well.
