The Key Requirement: An Available Habit

In Habitify, an Area cannot be created empty. The app's design requires you to add at least one habit to an Area at the moment of its creation.

Therefore, to create a new Area, you must have at least one habit that is not currently assigned to any other Area.

Think of it like this: you can't create an empty folder; you must create the folder and put at least one file inside it at the same time.

You can follow this guide to add a new habit to your list: Add a new good habit.

What if all my habits are already organized into Areas?

This is the most common reason for being unable to create a new one. The quickest solution is to create a new, temporary habit first. This gives you the "available" habit you need to create the new Area. Once the Area is created, you can move your other habits into it and delete the temporary one.

We hope this guide helps clarify the process!
