How to switch Strava to the correct account when Habitify keeps reauthorizing the wrong Strava profile.

Symptoms

  • Habitify connects to the wrong Strava account.

  • When creating a Strava habit, you never see a Strava login prompt.

  • Habitify does not appear under Strava > Settings > Authorized Apps.

Why this happens

Strava may have an active authorization cached (on Strava or your browser), so when you tap “Connect with Strava” it silently reauthorizes the old profile.

Fix on iPhone (iOS)

  1. Temporarily uninstall the Strava app.

  2. Clear Strava web sessions:

    • iOS Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data > search “strava.com” and “api.strava.com” > Remove.

    • Alternatively, use Private Browsing.

  3. Re-create a new habit synced with Strava

    • Open Habitify > Journal > + button

    • Switch to Strava > choose an activity > Connect with Strava & Grant Authorization again > set up the habit details > Save

  4. Reinstall the Strava app (optional).

Fix on desktop (recommended if iPhone steps fail)

  1. Open a Private/Incognito window.

  2. Go to strava.com/logout to ensure you’re signed out.

  3. Log in to the correct Strava account at strava.com.

  4. In the same window, open app.habitify.me and sign in to Habitify.

  5. Create a Strava habit and click “Connect with Strava”. When prompted, authorize Habitify while logged into the correct Strava account.

Revoke Habitify in Strava (if listed)

  1. If you see “Habitify”, click Revoke Access (revoke all Habitify entries if there are multiple).

Still stuck? Request a server‑side reset

If the wrong account still re‑authorizes without asking, contact us and we can remove the saved Strava authorization for your Habitify account on our side. After we confirm the reset, try connecting again — you should see the Strava login/authorize page.

Tips

  • Verify the athlete name at the top of the Strava authorize page before tapping Authorize.

  • After connecting, check Strava > Settings > Authorized Apps — “Habitify” should appear.

  • Strava sync is one‑way (Strava to Habitify) and we import up to the last 90 days of relevant activities. Strava-linked habits can’t be completed manually.
