Mini macOS App: Why my habit sorting/order is different from the main app

On Windows, the tray mini screen currently follows your custom habit order and may not match sorting options like Reminder Time or Alphabetical used in the full desktop app.

If you’re using Habitify on Windows and notice that the habit order in the system tray mini screen doesn’t match the order in the full desktop app window, this is expected behavior at the moment.

Why the order is different

The Windows tray mini screen currently displays habits using My Custom Order (your manually arranged order). It does not apply other sorting options such as Reminder Time or Alphabetical that you select in the full desktop app.

What sorting options apply where?

  • Full Windows app / Web app: Supports sorting by My Habits Order, Alphabetical, and Reminder Time.

  • Windows tray mini screen: Currently follows My Custom Order only.

Workaround: Make the tray mini screen match your preferred order

If you want the tray mini screen to show habits in a specific order, update your My Custom Order:

  1. Open the full Habitify desktop app on Windows.

  2. Go to Preferences/SettingsHabits (or Manage habits).

  3. Drag and drop habits to arrange them in your desired order.

  4. Open the tray mini screen again to see the updated order.

Can Habitify make the tray mini screen follow Reminder Time sorting?
