On Android app, Weekly View is one of the two layouts in your Journal, alongside Daily View.
Instead of showing only what's due today, Weekly View shows a full week at once, so you can see how your habits are trending instead of checking in on one day at a time.
This article covers how Weekly View displays each type of habit, how to log your progress, and how sorting works here compared to Daily View.
How to switch to Weekly View
In Journal, tap the layout button next to All Habits on the area navigation bar to switch between Daily View and Weekly View.
How it's laid out
The week starts on Monday or Sunday, depending on your First Day of Week setting in Settings.
Every habit gets its own row, with its icon and name above it. Today is highlighted in the day bar at the top. To move between weeks, use the week bar at the bottom of the screen. The selected week is highlighted.
Unlike Daily View, Weekly View doesn't group habits into sub-categories like Completed, Skipped, or In Progress. All your habits sit together in one continuous list.
How a habit looks, and how you log it, depends on its type: a good habit, a habit to limit, or a habit to quit.
Good habits
Goal per day
Each day is one cell.
On days when the habit doesn't repeat, the cell is hatched with diagonal lines.
On days when the habit repeats, tap the cell to check in your progress:
If the goal is measured in times, each tap adds 1 to your progress.
If the goal uses any other unit, a tap opens the Log Value screen.
A completed day is filled with a solid shade of the habit's color. Consecutive completed days join into one continuous bar.
A day still in progress fills from the bottom up as you log more toward the daily goal.
A skipped day is marked with an arrow.
A failed day is marked with an ✕.
To directly mark today as Completed, Skipped, or Failed, hold on today's cell.
Your streak appears as a 🔥 with its length (for example, 7d) on the cell of the last day you completed the daily goal.
If the whole week is part of a streak, it appears on the last day of the week and shows your streak length up to that day.
Goal per week, month, or year
The period is one seamless stripe.
The stripe shows your progress toward the goal and fills as you log. For example, 2/7 times for a weekly goal, or 27/30 km this month for a monthly goal.
To log progress, tap on the habit's progress stripe.
On the right of the habit name is your streak, counted in weeks, months, or years to match the goal period (for example, 2w or 3m). It's counted up to the week you're viewing, so it might change as you move between weeks.
Bad Habits
Habits to limit per day
Each day is one cell.
Instead of a fill, each cell shows the amount you logged that day (for example, 15m).
A marker under the amount shows where you stand:
a dot means you're within your limit,
an orange ▲ means you've reached it,
a red ✕ means you've gone over.
To check in status or log a progress value, tap on today's cell.
To directly mark today as Succeeded, Skipped, or Failed, hold on today's cell.
Habits to limit per week, month, or year
The period is one seamless stripe.
The stripe shows how much you've logged against your limit for that period.
Tap on the stripe to open the Log Value screen.
Habits to quit
Habits to quit are tracked day by day.
Each day is one cell.
A day you stayed on track is filled with a solid shade of the habit's color. Consecutive days join into one continuous bar.
A day you slipped is marked with an ✕.
A day you skipped is marked with an → .
To check in Succeed, Skip, or Fail, hold on today's cell.
Your streak appears as a 🔥 with its length (for example, 3d) on the cell of the last day you stayed on track.
Sorting habits in Weekly View
Weekly View doesn't group habits by type, status, or goal period the way Daily View does. Habits are sorted in your selected order across one continuous list, regardless of status, type, or goal period.
To change the sort order, tap the sort button on the datebar and choose:
A-Z or Z-A: alphabetically by habit name.
Reminder Time: chronologically by each habit's first reminder of the day.
My Habits Order: the order you set in Settings → All Habits.
Order is independent per list.
Time of Day lists: go to Settings → Time of Day, then tap and drag to reorder within each time block.
Custom Area lists: go to Settings → Manage Areas, then tap and drag to reorder within each area.
