Status of a bad habit

In Habitify, your bad habit can have one of these two statuses: Succeeded or failed.

If the goal is to quit this habit

  • Succeeded: when you do not make the habit at all

  • Failed: when you do the habit, even once

If the goal is to limit this habit

  • Succeeded: When your total logged value equals 0 or is within the limitation.

  • Failed: When your total logged value exceeds the limitation.

Automatic Check-in

With bad habits, Habitify assists you with automation checking the habit status.

By the end of each day, if the logged value on your bad habit is equal to 0 or under the limitation, your habit will automatically be marked as successful.

Manual Check-in

This guide is for tracking a habit on the phone app.

For the website & desktop app, please read this guide.

On the Journal view, use the smart button "Succeed" to quickly check in when you succeed in limiting or avoiding the bad habit.

The bad habits will be automatically checked in as succeeded at the end of a day. However, there might be some situations when you want to change the status of the day or log progress for it after that.

You have 2 ways to do it:

(1) Go to the Journal view of that date, swipe left the habit, and choose "Fail."

(2) In the Calendar view, choose the 3-dot button in the top corner > choose Log Progress > choose a date and log value as 1

Undo a value log

If you save a wrong custom value to your habit progress, you can remove it.

If your habit already has a status, you can undo the check-in from the Journal view:

  • Swipe right the habit

  • Choose "Undo Log". There are 2 options for you:

    • Remove Today Data -> Your progress value of today will be back to 0

If your habit is still in progress, you can undo the log-in Single Progress View.

Manage log on a date in the past
