How to get the Pomodoro Timer
Habitify offers powerful tools for managing and tracking the time you spend on your habits, including features such as setting up timed goals, utilizing the built-in Pomodoro timer, and leveraging the versatile Focus Timer.
Pomodoro is a type of Timer. Therefore, it is only available for habits with goals in unit "minute" or "hour".
When your habit appears on the Journal view, you can get a Timer button next to it. It is the place where you can start using the Pomodoro.
Setting Up Timed Goals
Setting up timed goals also enables you to use the versatile Focus Timer, making it easier to track and complete your habits efficiently.
To set up timed goals in Habitify, follow these steps:
Create a New Habit:
Open the Habitify app and add a new habit you want to track.
Set the Unit to "Minutes":
In the habit’s goal settings, select "minutes" (or "hours") as the measurement unit for tracking time.
Customize the Repetition Frequency:
Choose whether you want to track your progress on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. For example:
A daily goal helps you achieve a specific number of minutes every day.
A weekly goal allows you to meet a cumulative target by the end of the week, offering more flexibility in your scheduling.
Use the Timer to Track in Real-Time:
Once the habit is saved, access it from the Journal view. Tap the Start Timer button to track your time in real-time as you work on the habit.
Please note that Habitify allows only one type of time-based goal per habit (daily, weekly, or monthly), so choose the option that best aligns with your priorities.
How to use Pomodoro
In Habitify, you can use the Pomodoro Timer following these steps:
Tap on the smart button Timer next to the habit in the Journal tab.
Switch to the tab Pomodoro.
Number of Pomodoros: Choose the number of intervals for the full session. The maximum is 30.
Pomodoro Duration: Set the duration of each work interval. Maximum is 23 hours 59 minutes
Breaks:
Short Break Length: Define the length of short breaks
Long Break: Decide the length of long break and how many work intervals to complete before taking a long break.
During the Pomodoro Timer session you can:
Set the background sound to play a white noise and help increasing your focus
See the checklist of your habit and follow them
You can pause and resume anytime or stop midway.
By employing structured intervals and breaks, the Pomodoro method ensures you maintain high energy levels throughout your session.
For the step to save the progress value of running a session, you have the optional choice to:
add a habit note
save another log value
