No sound or notification when a timer session ends: troubleshooting

You may encounter the issues with no notifications when a timer session ends. This guide will help you have a primary check on it.

Check App Notifications Settings

Ensure that Habitify notifications are enabled:

  • Open Settings.

  • Scroll down and tap on Habitify.

  • Select Notifications.

  • Ensure that Allow Notifications is toggled on.

  • Verify that Sounds and Banners are enabled.

Check Do Not Disturb Mode

Make sure Do Not Disturb mode is not silencing your notifications:

  • Open Settings.

  • Tap on Focus > Do Not Disturb.

  • Ensure Do Not Disturb is turned off.

  • Alternatively, you can swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to access the Control Center and check if Do Not Disturb is enabled.

Verify Device Sound Settings

Ensure your device's sound settings are configured correctly:

  • Use the volume buttons to increase the device volume.

  • Open Settings.

  • Tap Sounds & Haptics (or Sounds on some models).

  • Ensure that the Ringer and Alerts slider is turned up.

Update Habitify

Ensure you have the latest version of the app:

  • Open the App Store.

  • Tap on your profile icon at the top right corner.

  • Scroll down to see if an update is available for Habitify.

  • If an update is available, tap Update.
