How to create a weekly habit

A weekly habit is a habit that has the goal set for the whole week.

In the habit settings, you will set the goal as [number] [unit] per week.

View weekly habits on Journal

On the Journal view, when your weekly habit is incomplete, it is categorized in the section This Week.

Track progress on weekly habit

To log your progress on a weekly habit, you can take the same steps as you do when checking in on a daily habit.

Your habit will remain incomplete and you will continue to receive reminders on it until the goal per week is completed.

Currently, there are no settings for leveling the goal for each day.

The single progress view of a weekly habit

Compared with the single progress view of a daily habit, there are 2 differences you should note about Streak and Success Days.

Streak

Streak in Habitify is daily-based, which means it counts on the day you have checked in.

To keep your streak continuous, if your habit appears on the Journal view, you should:

  • Check-in your progress value, or

  • Mark your habit with Skip in case you don't schedule to do it today.

Success Days

The number of success days increases when the goal is accomplished. Consequently,

  • If the goal per week is completed, success days will be 7 days for the whole week.

  • If the goal per week is incomplete, success days will be 0 days for the whole week.

Furthermore, if there are days marked with Skip or Fail, the total success days will be minus those days.

For example, if you achieve the weekly goal, then the total number of success days is 7. However, if you mark 1 day as Skipped and 2 days as Failed, then the total number is 5.

View weekly habits in the Progress tab

In the Progress tab, for a weekly habit, you can see:

  • A view on how much you complete your goal per week inspired by bar chart.

  • Total: The total progress value you have achieved.

  • Skipped: The total number of days you have marked with Skip.

  • Failed: The total number of days you have marked with Fail.
