Based on your feedback and insights from EHS experts, we have made some long-awaited improvements to our COSHH functionality.

Easier to find πŸ”Ž

The COSHH feature has moved out of the 'Documents' tab into its own, separate tab, making it visible straight away after completing your RAMS.

Quicker editing πŸ–Š

The editing function now appears straight away in a side panel that prompts users to edit the assessment and make it site-specific. New fields within the editing section include:

  • Risk rating: add a risk level to your COSHH for improved H&S understanding

  • Method of use: specify how you're using the product with our new list

  • Location of use: indicate the environment in which the product will be used

  • Persons at risk: select who is at risk - multiple options possible

Preview your COSHH documents πŸ“„

Simply click on whichever document you want to preview and all the information will pop up in a side panel! Handy, right?

Download individual COSHH assessments πŸ“Œ

Gone are the days of having to download COSHH along with your RAMS! Now, you can download separate COSHH assessments, with the option of including SDS if required.

Note: COSHH assessments are not available on Basic plans.

Why are the updates helpful from a health and safety perspective?

The new HandsHQ COSHH feature makes a point of work assessment easier to complete. You can evaluate the use of the substance within different scenarios and create a specific COSHH assessment with a risk rating to help quantify that risk better.

We always strive to foster better health and safety practices through good design. Although we always had an editing function in our COSHH system, by making it more prominent we hope to encourage more users to create site-specific assessments.

The points addressed within this feature guide you down the path of the HSE's recommended eight principles of good practice, thereby improving the quality of your assessment and protecting liabilities.
