What Is a Risk Assessment?
A Risk Assessment helps you identify hazards, assess the risk, and put controls in place to help prevent incidents. Complete one:
At the start of your day, or
Before you start a new task
Risk Assessments are designed for workers to check their own work area. To review a whole building site, use a Site Review instead.

How to Complete a Risk Assessment
Think about the main tasks you have coming up before you begin.
Open the App and select 'Risk Assessment' from either the Home screen or the Create screen.
2. Select your site address or manually enter one and click next
3. Work through each topic. If the risk isn't present for your task, select No.
4. Select Yes or Not Sure if the risk is present or you're unsure. The App shows a list of control options. Need to assign an action to a team member? Create a Task
5. Select each control that applies.
6. Add comments or photos if needed, then move to the next topic.
7. Tap Submit once you've completed every topic.

Best Practices
Subcontractors: complete a minimum of one Risk Assessment per week. One per day is good practice.
Use photos. A photo of a hazard, and the control in place, makes the record much stronger.
Do it before the work starts, not after. The point is to catch the hazard before it causes a problem.
High-risk or Critical work also needs a SWMS or Task Analysis. A Risk Assessment doesn't replace it.
