Who Can Use the Site Noticeboard?
Everyone:
Can read noticeboard messages after scanning onto a site in the HazardCo App
Premium and Complete Customers:
Hub Admin and Hub User roles can create, edit, and delete noticeboard messages
Can manage messages from both the Hub and the App
Must be a team member that owns the site
Please Note:
The Site Noticeboard feature is only available for Project Plus sites
Standard and Free tier projects do not have access to the noticeboard feature
What is the Site Noticeboard?
The Site Noticeboard is a communication tool that allows you to share important updates, safety alerts, and general information with everyone who scans onto your site. Messages appear immediately after workers scan the site QR code, ensuring critical information reaches your team.

New hazards or changes to emergency procedures

Creating Noticeboard Messages
You can create noticeboard messages from either the Hub or the App, depending on where it's most convenient.
Creating Messages from the Hub
Log into the HazardCo Hub
Navigate to Projects and select a Project Plus site from your project list
Scroll down to the Noticeboard Updates section on the Project Overview
Type your message in the text field (you can include multiple points or paragraphs)
Click the blue Save button at the bottom of the page
Your latest message will appear above the new message box and that “Current message” will be visible to anyone scanning onto the site
Creating Messages from the App
Open the HazardCo App and scan onto your site
Tap the Add New button on the bottom right of the Noticeboard
Type your message in the message field and tap Save
Your message will immediately appear for all users scanning onto the site
What Happens When You Post a Message?
The message appears immediately on the noticeboard when anyone navigates to the site screen in the app
Anyone scanning onto the site will see the latest message at the top of their screen
The message is added to the noticeboard history
All previous messages remain accessible in the history
Only the most recent message displays automatically after scanning in
Editing Noticeboard Messages
Update existing messages to correct mistakes, add new information, or clarify details.
Editing Messages from the App
Open the HazardCo App and scan onto your site
Tap the View all option to see all messages
Tap on the message you want to edit
Tap the Edit option
Make your changes to the message text
Tap Save
The message will be updated in the history and for all users accessing your site
Common Reasons to Edit Messages:
Correcting typos or unclear information
Adding updates as situations develop
Updating times or dates for planned activities
Clarifying instructions based on worker questions
Deleting Noticeboard Messages
Remove messages that are no longer relevant or were posted by mistake.
Deleting Messages from the Hub
Log into the HazardCo Hub and open the Project Overview for your Project Plus site
Scroll to the Noticeboard Updates section
Locate the message you want to delete
Click Delete next to the message
What Happens When You Delete:
The message is immediately removed from the noticeboard history
If it was the currently active (most recent) message, it will no longer show for users scanning on site
The next most recent message becomes the active message
Please note: Deleted messages cannot be recovered
Deleting Messages from the App
Open the HazardCo App and scan onto your site
Tap the View all option to see all messages
Tap on the message you want to delete
Tap the Delete option
Confirm the delete action when prompted
The message will be removed from the history
Please Note:
If you delete the currently active message, users will see the previous message when they scan on site
If you delete all messages, users will see no noticeboard message after scanning (though they can still access the empty noticeboard)
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
When to Delete Messages
Delete messages when:
The information is outdated (e.g., yesterday's weather warning)
The situation has been resolved (e.g., "Crane arriving today" after the crane has arrived)
The message was posted by mistake
The message is no longer relevant to current site operations
Viewing Noticeboard Messages and History
Viewing as a Site Worker (All Users)
After Scanning On Site:
Scan the site QR code using the HazardCo App and complete the scan in process OR visit the scanned in site screen
The latest noticeboard message will display prominently at the top of your screen
Tap View all to see all past messages
Viewing Message History from the Hub
Log into the HazardCo Hub and open the Project Overview for your Project Plus site
Scroll to the Noticeboard Updates section
You'll see the latest message displayed
Click View all updates in the top right corner to see the full history
Browse through all messages with timestamps showing when each was posted

Open the HazardCo App and navigate to the noticeboard for your site
Tap View noticeboard history
Scroll through all past messages
Messages are displayed in reverse chronological order (newest first)
Hub vs App: When to Use Each
Use the Hub When:
You're in the Office
Planning site communications in advance
Writing detailed messages with multiple points
Managing multiple sites' noticeboards
Typing longer messages with a full keyboard
Copy and pasting information from other documents
Working with a larger screen for easier reading
Use the App When:
You're On Site
Immediate updates based on site conditions
Quick safety alerts or urgent notifications
Real-time responses to developing situations
No laptop needed while working on site
Best Practices for Using the Noticeboard
Be Clear and Specific
Use simple, direct language
State exactly what workers need to know or do
Include relevant details (times, locations, specific areas)
Keep It Concise
Workers read messages on mobile devices
Get to the point quickly
Use bullet points for multiple items
Include Action Items
Tell workers what they need to do
Be explicit about requirements or restrictions
Specify who the message applies to (if relevant)
Use Appropriate Urgency
Reserve the noticeboard for important information
Don't overuse it for minor updates (reduces attention to critical messages)
Make urgent messages clearly urgent
