What Is a Site Review?

A Site Review is a quick, regular walk-round check of your site, done through the App. It helps you spot hazards, housekeeping issues, and compliance gaps before they cause a problem and keeps a digital record that you've done the check.

Why Use It?

  • Keeps a digital record of your site checks, so you can show the work you're doing to stay safe and compliant

  • Helps you catch hazards early, before they cause an incident

  • Lets you assign follow-up actions straight from the checklist, so nothing gets missed

  • Gives you something concrete to share at toolbox talks, so the whole team knows what's been checked and what needs fixing

  • Tracks your health and safety monitoring of the site

How to Complete a Site Review

  1. Open the HazardCo App and find Site Review.

  • It's on the Home screen when you scroll down

  • OR tap Create at the bottom right, then select Site Review from the list

2. Select the project or site you're reviewing.

3. Work through the safety checklist, covering things like:

  • Site Security

  • Scaffolding,

  • Excavations

  • Housekeeping

  • Manual Handling

4. Add notes or photos against any item that needs one.

5. Create a follow-up task for any issue you find by tapping Create Task.

6. Tap Submit at the bottom right when you're done.

You'll see a confirmation message, and your Site Review is saved.

Please Note: When you select No under a reviewed item you will be shown some controls, you do not need to select these and can just exit the screen by pressing the X on the top right.

Finding Your Site Review Reports Later

  • In the App: go to My Reports

  • In the Hub: go to the Reports area and filter by report type to see all your Site Reviews

Best Practices

  • Walk the site daily — a quick regular check is more effective than an occasional deep one

  • Speak with your workers as you go and ask what they're seeing, they often spot things you'd miss

  • Deal with issues on the spot where you can, rather than leaving them for later

  • Share what you found at your next toolbox talk, so the whole team stays on the same page

  • Create a task and send it to team mates
