The Download Component allows you to present files and different types of links in a structured way within headful.

After adding the component via the Plus icon in the page editor, you can optionally add a headline and subline. The headline can be shown or hidden using the eye icon. Both texts can be aligned either left or centered.

Download items can be displayed as either a grid or a carousel.

In grid view, additional rows are created automatically when more items are added.
In carousel view, navigation arrows appear once a certain number of items is reached, allowing users to scroll horizontally through the content.

Each download item consists of an automatically generated icon, a headline, and an optional copy text. The icon cannot be customized manually. It is automatically determined by the selected link type or — in the case of files — by the file format.

Available Link-types

The following link types are available:

  • Internal link (within a headful project)

  • Popup link (within a headful project displayed as popup)

  • External webseite

  • e-mail-adress

  • Phone number

  • Download file (selected from the media library)

For download files, the icon automatically adapts to the file format (e.g., a PDF icon for PDF files). Common file formats are supported.

Tipps & Tricks

  • The copy text can be shown or hidden depending on the level of detail you want to provide.

  • For a more minimal layout, you can omit the item headline and work only with a softer descriptive text.

  • Use the grid layout for larger numbers of downloads and the carousel for more compact presentations.

  • Keep item titles consistent to ensure clear and intuitive navigation.
