The Footer is a global system component and automatically applies to all pages within a project. It is managed in the editor under the “Bottom” section.
All components added within the Bottom area are automatically global and affect the entire project.
In the editor, global components are clearly identifiable: a “G” marks them as global, a blue outline indicates unpublished changes, and a green outline shows that the current version is published.
Edit the System Footer
To edit the footer, open the “Bottom” section in the editor. The default footer component is located there.
The system footer allows you to manage the following content:
Copyright notice
Legal links (e.g., Legal Notice, Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy)
It is recommended to link legal content to dedicated pages so that it is consistently available across all pages.
The footer can be deleted but can always be reinserted via the plus icon
in the Bottom area. While leaving the footer empty is technically possible, it is not recommended for legal reasons.
Publishing
Since the footer is a global component, publishing must be done exclusively through the component’s three-dot menu.
The general page “Publish” button is not sufficient.
When the footer is edited, it receives a blue outline. Only after publishing via the component menu will the outline turn green and the changes become active across the project.
Color Scheme
The footer is controlled exclusively by the Dark color scheme.
A separate color scheme cannot be assigned. Changes to the primary colors within the Dark scheme directly affect the appearance of the footer.
Additional Components in the Bottom Area
In addition to the system footer, further components can be added within the Bottom area.
Important: Every new component inserted in the Bottom area is automatically global and must be published individually.
It is recommended to always keep the actual system footer at the very bottom of the structure.
Extended Footer – Best Practice
Since the system footer offers limited space, an additional component in the Bottom area can be used to create an extended footer layout.
A common approach is to use a table component to structure content such as:
Address
Contact information
Email address
Additional links
This allows you to build a more comprehensive footer section that appears consistently on every page and can be maintained centrally.
Note
The Cookie Consent tool can also be integrated and managed within the Bottom area.
Tips & Tricks
Plan the footer as a fixed structural element of your project.
Use additional Bottom components for more complex contact or company information.
Always publish changes separately, as they immediately affect all pages across the project.
