What are Shared Components?

Shared components allow information to be exchanged between two systems. To adopt a component, it must first be converted into a shared component in the source system. Like global components, shared components must be published individually.

How to Insert a Shared Component

  1. In the target system, click the plus symbol in the editor and select the "Shared" tab. All shared components are displayed here.

  2. You have two options:

    • Select the component to insert it on the page. It cannot be edited, but it will automatically update with the source system.

    • Select the component through the three dots and insert it as a copy to edit it. It will no longer be linked to the source system.

Reconnect a Copy to the Original

  1. Insert the component as a copy.

  2. Use the Connector to reconnect the component to the original and select which parts should remain linked and which you want to change.

Modify Parts of the Component

  1. Select the component via the plus symbol.

  2. In the component editor, there is a "Connector" option.

  3. Here, you can link the component to an internal global or shared component and decide which parts should stay linked and which should be changed.
