A shared component allows you to use a component across multiple projects within a Company Dashboard.
It is created and published in one project and can then be inserted into other projects within the same Company Dashboard. Editing is only possible in the original project.
In the editor, shared components are clearly identifiable:
An “S” marks the component as a Shared Component. A blue outline indicates unpublished changes. A green outline shows that the current version is published.
Step-by-Step Guide
Create a Shared Component
Open the desired component in the editor.
Click the three-dot menu.

Select “Convert to shared”.
Assign a unique name.
Confirm.
The component will now display a blue outline and the “S” indicator.
Publish a Shared Component
Open the component’s three-dot menu again.

Click “Publish”.
After publishing, the outline turns green.
Publishing a shared component is always done via the component’s three-dot menu — not via the general “Publish”button of the page.
Insert a Shared Component into a Project
Click the plus icon in the editor.

Switch to the “Shared” tab.
Select the desired component.
Insert it onto the page.
The “Shared” tab automatically displays all published shared components from all projects within the same Company Dashboard.
An identical shared component cannot be inserted multiple times on the same page.
Editing in Other Projects
When a shared component is inserted into another project:
It cannot be edited.
It can only be copied (and reinserted as a standalone copy) or deleted.
The publication status (blue or green) is visible across projects.
Editing and republishing are only possible in the original project.
Reconnecting via the Connector
If a shared component has been inserted as a copy in another project and should later be reconnected to the original shared component, the Connector can be used.
How to reconnect:
Open the inserted copy in the editor.
Select “Connector” at the top.
Choose “Shared Components” from the dropdown.
Select the desired original component.
Click “Connect”.
The previously independent copy will then be linked again to the selected shared component and will inherit its published updates in the future.
Note
If a global component is deleted from the editor within its original project, it is not permanently lost.
Since it remains defined as a global component within that project, it can be reinserted at any time via the “Global” tab in the component selection panel.
In other projects (within the same Company Dashboard), the same component appears under the “Shared” tab.
This means:
In the original project → accessible via Global
In other projects → accessible via Shared
Difference from Global Components
A shared component can be used across projects within a Company Dashboard.
A global component, in contrast, is limited to multiple pages within a single project.
Tips & Tricks
Name shared components clearly and consistently, as many components may appear in the “Shared” tab.
Use the search bar to quickly find components.
Publish updates deliberately, as changes will affect all projects where the component is embedded.
