Creating your account
You can create a free HealthSherpa for Medicare account by visiting medicare.healthsherpa.com and following the steps below. We recommend that you input accurate and complete information for all of these steps. If you make a mistake, you can update your information later by visiting Settings in your account.
Note for users of HealthSherpa for Agents ACA platform: you'll create a separate account to use our HealthSherpa Medicare Marketplace.
Step 1: Navigate to the website
When you are ready to create your free HealthSherpa for Medicare account, you can begin the signup process by visiting https://medicare.healthsherpa.com.
Step 2: Create your account
Enter the email address you want associated with your HealthSherpa for Medicare account as well as a secure password. You can use the same email associated with your HealthSherpa for Agents (ACA) account, but we recommend using distinct passwords.
Our platform will send important information to the email address provided, so please use a professional email that you check often.
Step 3: Enter basic personal information
Enter the basic personal information you want associated with your HealthSherpa for Medicare account. If you do not have a company name, feel free to list your name in that field.
When you sign up, we ask for your permission to use the NPN you’ve entered to check your licensure & appointment statuses with NIPR. We use this to help you avoid inadvertently submitting volume in non-licensed states or with non-appointed carriers, an added layer on top of our Ready-to-Sell checks.
You can edit the details associated with your account at any time by visiting the Settings page within your account. The Settings page is accessible by clicking the gear icon in the top-right corner of your dashboard. Learn more here.
Step 4: Congratulations!
That’s it! You will then be directed to your client dashboard. Join an upcoming agent training to learn more about the features of your HealthSherpa for Medicare Account.
Frequently asked questions
How is it possible that HealthSherpa for Marketplace accounts are free to agents and agencies?
We can offer the platform free because some agents choose to use our optional Medicare Referrals program.
I already have a HealthSherpa for Agents ACA account. Will my HealthSherpa for Medicare account be related to my ACA account at all?
No. Your Medicare account will be entirely separated from your ACA account. You’ll visit separate websites to log in and use a separate login and password for each. Note: You can use the same email across both, but we recommend using distinct passwords.
For now, we separate these accounts for compliance and data security reasons.
What is an “NPN?”
Your National Producer Number (NPN) is a unique number assigned to you during the licensing application process. If you are a licensed agent, you will be able to look up your NPN easily here.
