This article explains how to create, edit, and delete tags in Case Settings. You can view all existing tags for a case, add new ones, and manage them from a single dashboard. Tags created here can be used throughout the case, including while reviewing conversations or running exports.
Overview
Tags can be created and managed from Case Settings or directly while reviewing extracted conversations. They allow you to group messages by issue, theme, or relevance.
You can:
Create, rename, or delete tags from Case Settings
Create tags directly while reviewing messages
Tag individual messages or apply tags to multiple messages in bulk
Tag messages by keyword search results
Export tag reports for production or analysis
Managing tags in Case Settings
The Tags tab in Case Settings lets you view, create, and manage all tags associated with a case.
From the Tags tab, you can:
View all existing tags and when they were created
Create new tags using the Add Tag button
Edit or delete existing tags
Create a new tag in Case Settings
Step 1: Open Case Settings
Open the case and click Case Settings in the left panel.
Step 2: Select the Tags tab
Click the Tags tab to view all existing tags in the case.
Step 3: Click Add Tag
Click Add Tag to create a new tag.
Step 4: Enter tag details
Enter the tag name and click Create Tag.
View the new tag
You’ll be redirected back to the Tags tab with the new tag listed. The tag is now available across the case and can be applied anywhere tags are used.
Edit a tag
Step 1: Open Case Settings
Open your case and click Settings in the left panel.
Step 2: Select the Tags tab
Click the Tags tab to view all existing tags.
Step 3: Edit the tag
Click the Edit button.
Step 4: Confirm changes
Update the tag and click Edit Tag. This will update the tag even if it is currently being used in the case.
Delete a tag
Step 1: Open Case Settings
Open your case and click Settings in the left panel.
Step 2: Select the Tags tab
Click the Tags tab to view all existing tags.
Step 3: Delete the tag
Click Delete next to the tag.
Step 4: Confirm deletion
Click Delete Tag to confirm deletion. This will remove this tag even if it is currently being used in the case.
