Why Can’t I Text Myself?

If you’ve tried to send a text message from your primary number to your M1 number and it failed, here’s why:

Currently, M1 does not display private chats with “yourself.” This might give the impression that text messages aren’t working, but rest assured, the feature is functioning as expected.

Good News!

We’re planning a future update that will address this. In this update, the app will display private chats with yourself for better clarity. Once it’s implemented, you’ll be able to:

  • Send a text message from your primary phone number to your M1 number (your secondary number).

  • View the conversation in the app.

What Can You Do in the Meantime?

If you want to test your M1 number, we recommend using a different number (not your own).

For example: Borrow a phone from a friend or colleague to send a test message or call your M1 number.

This workaround will allow you to verify that your M1 number is working as intended.
