The Futures Price Tab combines market pricing data with Helios’ proprietary climate-driven trading indicators. It is designed to help users understand market expectations, monitor futures activity, and identify potential price shifts influenced by climate risk.
Helios’ trading recommendations are generated using an event-driven climate trading strategy. These signals rely only on climate and momentum indicators and should be used as one input in your broader trading or purchasing strategy.
Important: By using the trading recommendation feature, you acknowledge the risks outlined in the Risk Disclosure Statement.
Futures data helps users:
Gauge whether the market outlook is bullish or bearish
Identify short-term and long-term price expectations
Compare futures prices to spot/cash prices
See how upcoming climate-related risks may already be priced into the market
Make more informed decisions about when to enter or exit positions
Futures Contracts
The Futures Price Tab displays real-time futures contract information for each commodity. This data reflects market sentiment and enables users to monitor how traders and exchanges are pricing future supply and demand.
Current Futures Contract
The current (front-month) contract appears at the top of the page next to the Helios trading recommendation. This contract typically has the highest trading volume.
The platform automatically rolls to the next active contract following the same schedule used by major trading platforms.
Prices are updated daily at closing - they do not currently update intraday.
Additional Futures Contracts
Other relevant contracts can be found in the Additional Futures Contracts table. This will include contracts farther into the future (or about to settle), as well as contracts from lesser-traded exchanges.
For each contract, you can view:
Settlement date
Contract price (in the exchange’s currency)
Trading symbol
Day-over-day price change (absolute and percentage)
Exchange where the contract is listed
Our Trading Recommendations
The Price Tab offers proprietary trading recommendations based on advanced climate risk algorithms. These recommendations are tailored to help users maximize their trading outcomes by providing actionable insights into potential price shifts based on climate indicators.
There are three trading signals - Bearish, Bullish & Neutral. Each signal lets you know whether climate is impacting the futures price and whether pricing momentum is leaning towards buying, selling, or holding a position.
Bearish
We believe climate risk has decreased and there is less risk to the overall supply and harvest (both yield and quality) than usual. Prices are expected to decrease soon.
Bullish
We believe climate risk has increased and will put upward pressure on the commodity price as supply, both yield and quality, is at a higher risk than usual. Prices are expected to increase soon.
Neutral
We believe climate risk indicators are in line with their historical ranges, and will not put undue pressure on the commodity price in either direction. Prices are expected to stay similar.
Trading Recommendation Explanation
Helios always explains our recommendation, how long we expect the trading signal to continue, and what the previous signal was (and when it last changed).
