Atlas can generate storefront content in multiple languages. If your target language is supported, you can build your pages directly in that language. If it’s not supported (for example, Hebrew), you can still localize your Shopify store using Shopify’s native language tools.

Languages Atlas Currently Supports

Atlas supports the following languages:

  • English

  • Spanish

  • French

  • German

  • Italian

  • Dutch

  • Polish

  • Portuguese (Brazil)

  • Portuguese (Portugal)

  • Czech

  • Danish

  • Finnish

  • Norwegian (Bokmål)

  • Swedish

  • Vietnamese

  • Indonesian

  • Ukrainian

  • Malay

  • Turkish

  • Thai

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • Chinese (Simplified)

  • Russian

  • Arabic

  • Hindi

  • Serbian

  • Serbian (Latin)

Can I Create Product Pages Directly in My Language?

Yes — if the language is supported by Atlas.

When you select one of the supported languages in Atlas, you can create product pages and content directly in that language, and Atlas will generate the page content accordingly.

What If My Language Isn’t Supported (Example: Hebrew)?

If your language is not available in Atlas, Atlas-generated content will remain in a supported language (most commonly English). In that case, you have two good options:

  1. Translate the store using Shopify’s language tools

  2. Manually translate key page content and theme text

Shopify’s free app Translate & Adapt is commonly used to:

  • Translate theme text that remains in English

  • Add translations for pages, products, and system text

  • Fine-tune wording for local relevance

Steps to Add a Language in Shopify

  1. Go to Shopify Admin → Settings → Languages

  2. Click Add language

  3. Choose the language you want to support

  4. Save

  5. Use Translate & Adapt (or another translation app) to translate any remaining content

Why Some Sections Don’t Translate Automatically

Some theme sections or app content may not be connected to Shopify’s translation system, which is why parts of the store can stay in English even after adding a language. Translation apps like Translate & Adapt help cover those gaps.
