Mounting and Placing TVs

Use this article when Landing has asked you to help mount a TV, so it ends up at the right height with the cords hidden.

Who this is for: Hosts and Cleaning Companies helping with an installation job where Landing has asked you to mount a TV.

Where each TV goes

  • Living room TVs are mounted on the wall.

  • Bedroom TVs stand on the dresser. Do not mount them unless the job says otherwise.

If the job description says something different, follow the job.

Mounting a living room TV

  1. Centre the TV on the wall opposite the sofa.

  2. Mount it 45 inches from the floor to the bottom of the TV, or 48 inches if it sits above a desk.

  3. Follow the instructions that come with the mount. They tell you what fixings to use and how to fit it.

  4. Hide the cords with an in wall cord kit or white cord covers, following the instructions on the kit.

If you cannot mount the living room TV

If something stops you mounting it, put the TV on the console instead and tell Landing why.

Setting up a bedroom TV

  1. Attach the stand to the TV.

  2. Place it on the dresser, centred, on the wall opposite the bed.

  3. Cover the cords from the TV down to the outlet with a cord cover kit.

Hide the cords

Cords should not be visible once you are finished, whether the TV is mounted or standing on furniture.

Use an in wall cord kit or white cord covers, and follow the instructions on the kit.
