Review invites help you to quickly collect reviews, build social proof and increase sales. We make it easy to invite your consumers to write a review about your business on Hellopeter.

Additionally, there’s no registration or sign-in blocker for your customers. This means the recipient won’t be required to create a Hellopeter profile before being able to publish a review - significantly increasing conversion rates!

Accessing Review Invitations

  1. Log in to your Hellopeter Portal.

  2. Click on Collect Reviews.

  3. Click on Review Invites.

Google Reviews

Send Invites

This is where you’ll manage your review invite sends. Click the Send Invites Tab to individually add or bulk upload a list of customer names, email addresses and mobile numbers to the send queue. Hellopeter then sends the batch of review invites to your customers

History

The History Tab displays a full history of all your email, SMS and Google invite sends. You can view open rates, clicks and conversion rates by channel and emil submission type. You can also resend unconverted invites from here

Email Template Tab

Submission Type

You have two options to choose from:

  • In-mail - allow your customers to write and submit reviews directly from their email without ever leaving their inbox

  • Landing page - drives customers out of their email inbox to a landing page where they can write and submit their review

Note: Selecting the landing page template allows customers to upload photos after writing a review

Email Customisation

You can customise the text in the following fields:

  • Subject line

  • Email body

Tags - these are dynamic fields that are used to personalise your review invites

  • [User] - Including this tag will automatically add your customers name to your message

  • [Business] - Including this will automatically add your business name (as stated in your Profile settings) to your message

Logo - upload your logo to match the look and feel of your email review invite to your brand

  • Recommended image size - 211 x 54px

  • Recommended file size less than 10 megs

  • PNG or JPEG are acceptable

Header image - You can select a header image from our existing header image library or upload a header image that matches the look and feel of your brand

  • Recommended image size - 602 x 146px

  • Recommended file size less than 10 megs

  • PNG or JPEG are acceptable

Save Changes Button

Once you’ve finished customising your review invite template click Save Changes

Send Test Mail

Enter an email address and click SEND TEST to preview how the review invite appears in an email client. Note - you cannot publish a review from the send test function

In the right hand panel you can preview the display of your email review invite on desktop and mobile

Customising Review Invitations

Hellopeter offers you the flexibility to customise the review invite. You can customise the review invite by changing the text, uploading your logo, header image and by utilising tags.

Configuring the Review Submission Settings

  • In-mail - customers will be able to submit their review directly from the email without leaving their inbox. This results in a substantial increase in review conversions.

  • Landing page - Customers will be redirected to submit their review via an external landing page. Customers will also be able to upload a photo while writing their review

Important:

Review invites are rendered differently across various browsers and email clients. This means if you select an in-mail review invite, the in-mail form may not render on certain browsers, devices and email clients. Hellopeter will automatically detect the browser, device and email client used to open the review invite and will deliver a different version of your in-mail template. The version that will be delivered will contain the in-mail header, logo, subject copy and email body copy customisations, however the landing page click to rate form style (which redirects customers to submit their review) will replace the in-mail form capture.

Using Tags

Tags are dynamic fields to personalise your review invites rather than sending out generic emails. We have two personalisation fields available:

  • [User] - this automatically displays your customer's name. We're able to get this information when you add your customer's name to the send queue

  • [business] - This automatically displays your business name (as saved on your Profile settings)

Preview Review Invites

In the right-hand panel, you can see a preview of the review invite in a desktop and mobile email client.

On the review invite email template, we have included your unique WhatsApp link. By clicking on this, the user will be redirected to WhatsApp to write their review. Note - All WhatsApp reviews collected via the email review invite feature don't consume a review credit when displaying customer data.

Sending a Test Mail

Send a test mail to see how the review invite appears in an email client

  • Add an email address

  • Click Send Test

Save Changes

Click Save Changes after you've customised your email template. Once you've saved your template, all sends in the queue will use your last saved email template. You’re able to change your email template customisation and/or submission type after you’ve uploaded customer information to the send queue.

Important:

Customisation is applied to the submission type. As an example, if you customise your in-mail template and decide to switch to a landing page submission type, any customisation applied to the in-mail template won't be carried over to the landing page template. You'll need to apply the customisation to the landing page template. please ensure you apply the same customisation to your landing page template in order to deliver a consistent experience

Add to Queue

Click Add To Queue to add your customer to the send queue

Preview a list of all customers added to the Send Queue. When you are ready to send the batch click Send Invites

Once you’ve uploaded a list of customers to the send queue, click the Send Invites button to send your review invites

CSV File Download

We strongly recommend that you download the sample CSV file and edit it.

  • The format of the file is: first name, email address and mobile number all separated by a comma. The mobile number is an optional field

Important:

  1. The format of the CSV file must be identical to the sample CSV file. Each field added must be separated by a comma with no spaces in between the fields - Example - Gary,gary@gmail.com,1234567899

  2. You can add a maximum of 1,000 customers per CSV file upload

Uploading the CSV file

You can either drag the file into the designated area or click the select a file text link to upload the file.

Adding a Mobile Number

When you add a mobile number, your customer will receive an SMS invite in addition to the email invite. This increases the likelihood of converting the review invite into a review.

Important:

Even though you are sending two invites to one customer, only one review invite will be deducted from your review invite quota.

Send Queue

You can preview a list of customers that you've added to the send queue. After you've successfully added customers to the send queue, the Send Invites button will become active.

When you're ready to send your review invites, click the Send Invites button

Important:

All sends in the send queue will use your last saved email template. You’re able to change your email template customisation and/or submission type after you’ve uploaded customer information to the send queue.

History Overview

In the History tab, you'll be able to see a full history of all the review invites sent. You're also able to export your review invite history. For a detailed report of your review invite performance please see review invite analytics.

Email Template (submission type)

Displays the email submission type - In-mail or landing page

Resend Text Link

This will display for all review invites that have not been converted. Click the resend text link to send a follow up review invite to your customer

Channel

For review invites that have not been converted, this will display as Email or Google. If you include a mobile number, an SMS invite is delivered in addition to the Email invite. The channel field in this case will still remain Email. However, if the review invite is converted from an SMS, the channel field will update to SMS

Export Button

Export a full history of all review invites sent for the date period selected

This is a great way to follow up with customers who haven't converted their review invite. In order to avoid spamming your customers, we recommend you don’t resend a review invite to any customer that has received a review invite within 10 days.

Important:

When using the Resend feature, Hellopeter doesn't deduct an additional review invite from your review invite quota (the number of review invites remaining will not reduce). Therefore, we give you unlimited chances of converting a review invite sent to a given customer without reducing your review invite quota.
