US stock exchanges open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. local time, except on some holidays. In Brazil (Brasilia) time, they are open from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm. When in doubt, you can go to our app, under the Feed and Discover tabs, to see if the stock market is open or if it is closed (and how long before the market reopens).

You can still place buy and sell stock orders while the market is closed, but those orders will only be executed when the market reopens.
