Availability and Withdrawal Rules
Why is my money from a sale not "Available for withdrawal"?
If you sold an asset and the balance still does not appear as "Available for withdrawal," it means you must wait for the settlement time.
Settlement Time (T+2): The time it takes for the assets or cash balance to reach their destination after executing a transaction (like a sale) is two business days (T+2).
Available Balance: The total account amount available for withdrawal is the total account amount, minus the value of buy and sell orders, withdrawals, and pending deposits.
When can I withdraw funds I deposited via ACH?
Funds deposited via ACH are subject to a retention period due to security policies (AML).
30-Day Rule: ACH deposits must remain in your account for a minimum of thirty (30) days after the transaction is processed before they can be withdrawn.
Can I only withdraw to accounts in my name?
Yes. Vest can only process withdrawals to bank accounts with the same ownership as the investment account. Withdrawals to third-party accounts are not allowed.
International Wire Withdrawal Restrictions
Are there any restrictions on the country to which I can withdraw funds?
Yes. Withdrawals via international transfer (Wire) are only allowed to bank accounts located in the country of residence you registered when opening your account, this is known as Residence Restriction.
For example, if you declared residence in Brazil, you can only make a Wire to a bank in Brazil.
What should I do if I need to withdraw to a country different from my declared residence?
To withdraw to a different country, you must formally request a change of residence from the Vest team via support@mivest.io or from the in-app chat. This process requires review and approval by the compliance team.
Withdrawal Methods
What methods does Vest offer to withdraw funds?
Withdrawal methods vary according to your country of residence:
International Wire Transfer: It is the standard method for withdrawing funds in USD. The transfer will be made to the bank account you have registered in your country of residence.
ACH Transfer: Only with connection through Plaid.
Local Currency Withdrawals: In some countries (such as Mexico, Brazil, Nigeria, and Colombia), Vest may offer options to withdraw funds directly in your local currency.
Withdrawal Processing Times
Once the balance is available, how long does it take to reach my bank?
Processing time depends on the withdrawal method:
International Withdrawals (Wire): They usually take between 3 and 5 business days to be completed.
Local Withdrawals: Times vary depending on the method and country and can be 2 to 3 business days.
