How can I reserve a vehicle?

You can easily reserve a vehicle in the Hely app from two weeks in advance.

Some vehicles can be reserved in the Hely app. This is possible from two weeks in advance, but you can also choose to start your reservation now.

The minimum booking time is one hour, the same as with non-reservable vehicles. After that, you reserve per 5 minutes. Between two consecutive reservations there’s usually a non-reservable window of 30 minutes for the cargo bike and 60 minutes for the e-car. This time is needed to charge the vehicles for the next ride.

When you make a reservation, you also enter your end-time. During your ride, you can extend this with 10, 20, 30 or 60 at a time, under the condition that the vehicle isn't already reserved after you. Do you want to adjust your start or end time, or cancel your reservation? This is possible till 48 hours in advance (Hely GO & Hely FLEX) or till 4 hours in advance (Hely FLOW). It is not possible to change or cancel your reservation after that time.

If you end your ride before the end of your reservation, then the vehicle is being put available for other users after 30 minutes.

Start, change or cancel your reservation in the Hely app under ‘Travel’.

Follow the next steps to reserve a vehicle:

  1. Enter your desired start and stop time.

  2. Select the available car or (cargo) bike that you want to reserve.

  3. Then click on 'Reserve', optionally choose the license plate or vehicle number and click 'Complete' to place your reservation.

  4. When it’s time to go, head to 'Travel' to start your reservation and you're good to go!
