Set your clinic’s operating hours.

Heron uses your clinic’s operating hours to decide when calls should be routed to staff and when Heron should step in automatically. This ensures patients are always looked after — even outside business hours.

🔎 Why Business Hours Matter

  • During open hours, Heron acts as overflow support and handle calls alongside staff, when they are busy or unavailable.

  • During after-hours, Heron answers calls directly, provides key information, and captures inquiries for next-day follow-up.

  • Having accurate hours prevents missed calls and creates a consistent patient experience.

⚙️ How to Configure Business Hours

  1. Go to Heron Dashboard → Settings → Clinic Details.

  2. Enter your operating hours for each weekday.

  3. Note that you can add customized hours for each day.

  4. Save changes — they’ll take effect immediately.
