3 Step Model

Written by Hex Funded

The 3-Step Model is designed for traders who prefer a structured, multi-phase evaluation that rewards patience, consistency, and disciplined performance over time. With three phases and static drawdown throughout, this model provides the most gradual and controlled path to funding that Hex Funded offers.

Key Features

  • Three-phase evaluation

  • Static drawdown for a fixed, predictable risk floor throughout

  • No consistency rule

  • No time limit

  • Designed for traders who value structure and a measured progression to funding

Evaluation Phase Requirements

Phase 1

  • Profit Target: 6%

  • Minimum Trading Days: 4 (each with at least 0.5% profit)

  • All drawdown and risk rules apply throughout

Phase 2

  • Profit Target: 6%

  • Minimum Trading Days: 4 (each with at least 0.5% profit)

  • All drawdown and risk rules apply throughout

Phase 3

  • Profit Target: 6%

  • Minimum Trading Days: 4 (each with at least 0.5% profit)

  • All drawdown and risk rules apply throughout

After completing all three phases, your account undergoes a full manual review by our Risk Team. If approved, your funded account is issued.

Risk Parameters

Max Daily Drawdown: 4%

The maximum your account equity can lose within a single trading day is 4% of your initial account balance.

The daily limit resets at 00:00 UTC. At reset, the system takes the higher of your balance or equity as the starting point for the new day. Your equity must not fall more than 4% from that value at any point during the trading day.

Example:

  • Initial balance: $100,000

  • Daily loss limit: $4,000

  • Equity must not fall below $96,000 at any point during the trading day

Maximum Total Drawdown: 8% (Static)

The maximum total drawdown is a fixed 8% limit based on your initial account balance.

  • The limit does not trail and does not move under any circumstances

  • It is always calculated from your original starting balance

  • It remains fixed throughout all three evaluation phases and the funded stage regardless of profits made

Example:

  • Initial balance: $100,000 - Max drawdown limit is fixed at $92,000

  • Your equity must never fall below $92,000 at any time, regardless of how much profit you have made

Consistency Rule

There is no consistency rule on this model.

Max Risk Rule (Funded Account Only): 2.5% - Violating this is a hard breach and results in immediate account termination.

Minimum Trading Days (Funded Account)

To be eligible for payouts on your funded account, you must complete 4 separate qualifying trading days, each with a minimum of 0.5% profit. These days do not need to be consecutive.
