October 27th, 2026 📐 Tailored Plans, Sooner: Faster Plan-Set Exports & Doc-Referenced Option Overrides

Higharc Release Notes

Highlights

Faster Plan-Set Exports — Plan-set exports from Studio now generate each building only once and report progress throughout the export. On large plan sets, export times dropped by 10–23% in our testing. Your PDF output is unchanged, and you get a more accurate view of how far along an export is.

Override Doc-Referenced Option Values — You can now override Options and Linked Options on doc-referenced entities at the instance level, using the same blue-dot override and reset pattern as Option Sets. This lets you tailor option details for a specific instance without losing the link to the source document.

Customizable Showroom Emails — You can now brand and customize the Plan Save and Share emails buyers get from Showroom. Set your own sender and reply-to address, add your logo and legal footer, and choose who gets copied, so every email looks and sounds like it came from your sales team.

✏️ For Design & Drafting

Doc-Referenced Entities

  • Overrides now extend to Options and Linked Options on doc-referenced entities. You can override Display Name, Builder Option ID, Description, Pricing, Lock Conditions and Images per instance.

Plan-Set Export

  • Plan-set exports are up to 23% faster on large plan sets, with no change to the output.

  • Export progress now advances steadily from start to finish instead of staying at zero.

CAD Import

  • Imported DXF assets now include snap points, so you can snap to them when placing dimensions and taking measurements.

Electrical

  • Added 3-way dimmer, 4-way dimmer, timer (T), 3-way timer and 4-way timer switch types, so electrical plans and estimates can represent them.

  • Electrical controller labels are now their own category in view templates, so you can adjust label text size without resizing the whole symbol.

Fixes!

  • Header Assembly overrides on openings can now be applied and cleared when the catalog Header Assembly is set to None.

  • Electrical Layouts of type Four Loads now appear on component instances.

  • The inspector breadcrumb no longer flashes the full path after you edit the selected entity.

  • Options deleted from a Studio document are now archived and no longer appear in Studio, including after undo and redo.

  • Selecting a slab in the Foundations view now follows the plan outline, so non-rectangular slabs can no longer be selected from outside their boundary.

🖼️ For Sales & Marketing

⚠️ Correction: Home Plan Permissions

Correction for Admins: The October 20 release added three new permissions that control who can change options on a home plan in each phase: plan preparation, pre-construction and construction. On some accounts, the Sales Agent role started with these permissions turned off, so agents only see "View home plan."

To fix it: Go to User Management → Roles, open your Sales Agent role, and set the phases your agents work in to Allow. If you’re using Higharc’s default Sales Agent role, duplicate it first, turn on the three permissions in the copy, and move your agents to it. Questions? Contact @SupportHigharc.

Lots and Home Plans

  • Lot status for spec and model lots can now be changed from the lots table, independent of the home plan's construction phase.

  • Added an optional Section field to lots. It is part of the lot uniqueness check and appears in lot details, the lots and home plans tables, lot selection and brochures. This field requires the updated Lots table — reach out to your Higharc Account Manager to enable it.

  • Added an optional, sortable Address column to the home plans table, hidden by default. It shows the address of the lot a home plan is assigned to.

  • Multi-unit locations now show the unit name alongside the plan name in the available plans row, such as "Townhome 4-Plex: Unit A".

Customer Plans

  • You can now show customer phone number and email as optional columns in the Customer Plans table on the global Home Plans page using Column Visibility.

Showroom

  • Showroom now shows the floor plan as soon as it is ready and moves to 3D when the building is ready, while keeping any view you select.

  • The building in Showroom becomes interactive sooner because nonessential site and landscaping setup now happens afterward.

Customizable Showroom Emails

You can now brand and customize the emails your buyers get from Showroom across your business, so every message looks and sounds like it came from your sales agents.

Customize your buyer Plan Save and Share emails

Edit the subject, header, body, link text and contact info for two types of emails:

  • Plan Save: sent when a buyer saves a home plan

  • Share: sent when a plan is shared from Showroom or Showroom Intro

You can add personalization tokens, like your company name, to fill in details automatically.

  • Send from your own name and address. Set the sender name, sender email and reply-to address, so buyer replies go straight to your team.

  • Add your branding. Upload your logo and adjust the email styling. A live preview shows how each email will look as you edit.

  • Choose who gets copied. Pick who receives builder notifications and customer confirmations, with separate CC and BCC lists.

  • Add your legal footer. Include your compliance and disclaimer text. Share emails can have their own disclaimer. Footer automatically includes your legal name and address which comes from the Builder Info tab in settings.

  • Built-in protections. Templates with broken tokens can’t be saved, so buyers never see a broken email. Every buyer email includes an unsubscribe link, and buyers who unsubscribe aren’t emailed again.

Getting started

Go to Account → Sales Config → Emails.

Fixes!

  • The "Get in touch" card and the builder-editable disclaimer now appear again on the Showroom Intro page.

  • Bulk editing in the Home Plans tab no longer allows customer categories to be changed on locked, construction-phase or restricted standard plans.

  • The first click on a filter or side-nav option in the Option Catalog now applies right away.

  • Saved option order in Showroom Intro no longer resets to default after an option set is disabled in Config.

🧾 For Estimating

Components

  • The Windows and Doors categories' components tables now include the Window/Door Tag Details attribute.

Fixes!

  • Roofs with the Angled Open Open eave type now return soffit components in Estimate.

  • Rake soffits are now trimmed at Boxed Box eave returns, so reported soffit areas and lengths are accurate.

  • Estimate no longer adds the deprecated Building Area category to new workbooks. Only the new Building Area category appears. Workbooks created before this release still show both.

  • Option rules are now applied to master view so that things like elevations, which are made up of multiple options, will have all those options turned on when computing the delta for that elevation.

🧑‍💻 For API Users

ERP and CRM Integrations

  • Phase and Designation are now available in the ERP integrations "Mapped To" list for lots, for both CSV upload and the CSV API endpoint.
