Can I Add Absences without Entering a Holiday or Sickness?

Sometimes, staff may wish to request leave that doesn't fall under the standard holiday or sickness categories. You can create custom absence types to record these more specific leave requests.

There are five default custom absence types included when you first start using Staff Squared. These are:

  • Bereavement leave

  • Dentist

  • Doctors

  • Maternity/paternity leave

  • Unpaid leave

You can edit or delete these to make them fit your busniess' requirements, or add your own custom absence types.
