What is the vehicle delivery confirmation process?

Vehicle delivery confirmation is a required process where tow truck drivers must verify they've delivered a vehicle to its destination. This includes:


1. VIN Verification - Confirming the Vehicle Identification Number
2. Photo Capture - Taking a photo of the unloaded vehicle at the drop-off location
3. Location Confirmation - Pinpointing the exact drop-off location using GPS coordinates


This must be completed before leaving the drop-off scene.

How do I complete the delivery confirmation?

There are two ways, depending on how you received the job:


1. Via the HONK Partner App: The app will prompt you to complete delivery confirmation automatically.


2. Via text/phone dispatch: You'll receive a link to the HONK Vehicle Delivery web app. Click the link and follow the instructions to:

- Verify the VIN

- Upload a photo of the unloaded vehicle
- Confirm your GPS location at the drop-off site

What exactly do I need to capture?

You must provide:

1. A photo of the unloaded vehicle - The entire vehicle should be visible in frame. If possible, include some surrounding context such as lot signage, a curb, or nearby landmarks.
2. Your GPS coordinates - The app will capture this when you confirm the location
3. VIN verification - Confirming the vehicle's VIN matches the job

What if I'm not the one assigned to the job?

If you're not the driver on scene dropping off the vehicle, forward the link to the driver who is so they can complete the process, including location verification.

When should I complete the delivery confirmation?

Complete it before leaving the drop-off scene. The confirmation process should be done immediately after unloading the vehicle at its destination.

Which job types require delivery confirmation?

Delivery confirmation is required for:

- Secondary tows

- Unattended tows

- Accident tows

- Transport tows

Do I need to complete delivery confirmation to get paid?

Yes. If the job requires VIN verification and you don't complete delivery confirmation, you'll see payment requirement errors:

"You must upload a picture of the unloaded vehicle using the delivery confirmation app on this job."


"You must pinpoint the vehicle drop-off location using the vehicle delivery confirmation on this job."

What happens if I don't complete delivery confirmation?

Failing to complete delivery confirmation can result in delayed payment or future job eligibility

What if I use Towbook?

Be sure to upload a photo of the vehicle at its destination through the Towbook app to satisfy the vehicle delivery requirement. HONK will automatically receive location data along with the photo to confirm drop off. If a VIN is required, HONK will let you know.

I didn't receive the delivery confirmation link. What do I do?

Contact HONK support at 800-979-3162. The link is sent:
- Within the Partner App
- Via text message if dispatched by phone
- Via email if you don't have a textable number

The link isn't working. What should I do?

Make sure you:

1. Have a stable internet connection
2. Allow location services/GPS on your device
3. Allow camera access for photo upload
4. Try a different browser if on mobile

If issues persist, contact HONK support with your reference number.
