Before you're able to dispatch yourself and your operators, you'll want to make sure that you've properly set up your dispatchers and operators on the My Team page within your HONK account. For more information on how to set up your team on the app, please see our article How to set up the Partner app.

Below are steps on how to ensure that you're dispatching the right operator when your company is alerted of a job in your area. In the following scenario you are the dispatcher.

Step 1

When you are alerted of a job you will see a list of operators appear. At this time you as the dispatcher can decide which operator you wish to dispatch on the job.

Step 2

Once you've selected which operator you wish to dispatch, you will see a number of things appear on your screen. This includes:

  • Service type

  • Operator's drive time to the customer

  • Whether the vehicle has been in an accident

  • Relevant breakdown location information

  • Vehicle type and any job notes

Step 3

Once you click CONTINUE you will be taken to a screen where you can submit your operator's wrap-up time. A operator's wrap-up time is the time it would take that operator to leave if they are dispatched on the job. It is important to be as accurate as possible. Submitting a 0 minute wrap up time when it will take your operator 20 minutes to leave will result in a late arrival and could hurt your standing within HONK's system.

Step 4

Upon entering your operator's wrap-up time you may see the following screen. This screen details our Take It Now feature which allows users to take a job immediately. You'll find more information regarding this feature in the following steps.

Step 5

The next screen you see will provide you with the vehicle type as well as the pickup and drop off location of the vehicle. At this point, you can choose to take the job for the preset rate shown or simply leave it and wait for the next alert.

Note: if you wish to see a view of the disablement location on a map, you can click the pickup or drop off location on the page below

Step 6

Once you are dispatched you will see the following page and your operator will receive all necessary job information. It is incredibly important to remember that the operator which you have selected is the operator who goes to assist the customer.

Dispatching a different operator will hurt your company's standing within HONK's system.
