HONK's goal is to get the customer back on the road safely as quickly as possible. The Instant Dispatch model does just that by making the entire job process, from the time a service request comes in to the time that job is completed more efficient. Instant Dispatch enables customers to get help faster while simultaneously optimizing the Service Providers day-to-day operations.

This is great for the Service Providers’ bottom line because, with more frequent notifications for nearby jobs and no restrictions on territories, they are able to service more customers per hour and avoid having to waste time driving back to their territory to get their next job.

Instant Dispatch and how it works

When a customer breaks down and submits a request for assistance an alert goes out to all Partners who are closest to that customer in real time. Those Service Providers who receive the notification will get an alert with all relevant job notes and details as well as a price for that job up front.

The price is dynamic which means that it will always change and is dependent on the service type, drive time and time of day. When a customer breaks down and an alert is sent out to a company, the person dispatching the job will have the choice to either accept or reject that job.

If the job is accepted the Service Provider is immediately dispatched and is able to assist the customer in a timely and efficient manner.

When you are in close proximity to a job - you will see a "Take It Now" button displayed in the app. By clicking "Take It Now" you agree to complete the job at the rate provided. If you are however busy or do not want to take this job you can simply turn it down with no penalty by clicking "Reject."

When you are further away from the job - you will see a "Submit Availability" button. We understand that this job requires you to drive a bit farther. In certain cases, you may be headed into the direction of the tow or have some extra downtime. We, therefore, are only asking if you would be available in case no closer providers can take the job.

How does this help the Service Provider?

Reducing the time spent driving to and from a customer reduces the overall amount of fuel that a truck burns on a daily basis. A report in 2018 found that gas costs roughly 60 cents per mile driven for the average commuter. The price is estimated to be higher for tow trucks due to their fuel efficiency and how many miles they drive annually.

Additionally, extended times trucks spend on the road adds to the wear and tear of that truck on a daily basis. Making a tow truck operate as efficiently as possible will reduce the amount of money that is needed to keep it running smoothly.

Freeing up your time

Operators spending hours on end driving to assist a customer is inefficient. Instant Dispatch enables operators to complete numerous jobs in the same amount of time that it normally takes to complete just one job. Freeing up a operators' time allows Service Providers to maximize the opportunities presented throughout any given day.
