General Refund Policy
At Hooked & Company, refund eligibility depends on factors such as origin of the subscription, whether the purchase was part of a trial, the status of shipped items (e.g., returned, unopened), and specific scenarios like unauthorized transactions. Refunds are generally processed within 3–5 business days after approval and are reflected in the original payment method.
Refunds for Trial Purchases
If our program was not a fit for your learner, you can request a refund for the price you paid at enrollment upon cancellation within the 30 day trial period.
Refunds for Subscription Renewals
Subscription renewal payments are not able to be refunded if your next Practice Pack is in transit, however we accept the return of unopened packages within 30 days of receipt. For unopened packages returned within 30 days of delivery, refunds will be initiated once the return is processed at the warehouse. It is important to follow Hooked & Company's return policy to ensure the refund is issued.
Refunds for Fraudulent or Unauthorized Charges
In cases of fraud or unauthorized transactions, refunds will be issued upon review of the circumstances. Access to the app and subscription services will end immediately when this type of refund is processed, and customers can expect the refunded amount to appear in their accounts within 3–5 business days.
Typical Refund Timelines
For all scenarios—whether trials, shipments, or unauthorized charges—approved refunds are completed within 3–5 business days and reflected in the original payment method used for the transaction.
Purchases through Apple or Google Play
For App Store subscriptions, cancellations and refunds must go through the respective App Store, such as the Apple App Store or Google Play, due to confidentiality agreements.
Refunds for subscriptions purchased through the App Stores are handled exclusively the App stores. Subscribers should follow Apple’s or Google's refund process outlined here. The App stores operate as the billing entity for purchases made through the App Stores, including subscriptions to services like Hooked on Phonics. Because the App Stores do not share individual billing information with third-party apps, Hooked & Company does not have the necessary access to process or issue refunds for these transactions. Consequently, any issues with billing or refund requests must be handled directly by Apple’s or Google's customer service team.
