There are 2 types of groups you will be added to:
Community - When you register, you will be added to a group chat with all the members of the community you belong to, be it a company, university or local council.
Carpooling - When you have a carpool with more than one person, you will be added to a group with those people.
If you regularly travel with the same people, you will always have the same chat.
If a new passenger joins you on a trip, a new group will be created and the old group will be maintained as well.
How can I mute notifications from a group?
By clicking on the group icon, you will see the details of the group and its members. An option at the top is to mute notifications.
How to leave a group?
By clicking on the group icon, you will see the details of the group and its members. At the bottom of the screen there is an option to leave the group.
Why don't I see the groups in the city where I have a saved address anymore?
Previously, every time you registered a new favourite address, you were added to a chat with the other Hoop users who had a favourite address saved in that city as well. But we have decided to remove this, as your feedback made it confusing and annoying for many users.
