Australian regulations prevent us from listing medication names. However, our fertility treatment works by stimulating the body’s natural hormone pathways that control sperm production.

There are two key hormone signals involved in male fertility:

1. LH Pathway Support (Injection)

One of the prescribed medications mimics Luteinising Hormone (LH). LH is responsible for signaling the testicles to produce testosterone inside the testicles — a critical step in sperm production.

  • This medication is typically an injection

  • It helps maintain natural testosterone production in the testes

  • Especially important for men on testosterone therapy or recovering from it

2. FSH Pathway Support (Tablet or Injection)

The second medication stimulates Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH). FSH promotes the development and maturation of sperm cells.

  • This may be prescribed as a tablet or injection, depending on your needs

  • Helps activate sperm production directly inside the testicles

  • Often used in combination with LH-mimicking treatment for optimal effect

Combined Treatment

In most cases, both medications are used together to maximise fertility outcomes:

  • One supports testosterone production within the testicles

  • The other stimulates direct sperm development

Your doctor will assess which medications are clinically appropriate for your situation and design a tailored plan based on lab results and fertility goals.
