Setting up a Stripe account is similar to setting up a Bank account - all details need to be correct and are verified to ensure your account is secure.

Below is a checklist of information you will need to complete the process, it is good to have as much to hand as possible before you start as the page can time out if there is a delay and you would need to start the process again.

To set up your Stripe account you will need to provide the following information.

The first thing you will need to do is confirm your email address and provide the following information.

  • The Country you are located in

  • A short description of what your business does

  • The type of business you are (Individual/Sole proprietorship, Corporation, Non-Profit, Partnership)

*A little tip: If you do not have a company registration number select Individual/Sole Proprietorship

  • The business address or the address where you operate from.

  • Website address - this box must be completed

*Another tip - if you do not have a website then include a link to a Facebook page for your event

Your personal details:

  • Legal Name

  • Date of Birth

  • Address

Credit card statement details - this is what your purchaser will see on their credit card statement after a successful transaction

  • Business name

  • Phone number

Bank details:

  • Bank account currency

  • Sort Code

  • Account number

Stripe Account Log - In

  • Email address

  • Password
