Can I grate any chocolate into the Velvetiser?

Leave the grating to us. Our hot and iced drinking chocolate recipes are measured to perfection and crafted to work in harmony with the Velvetiser: rich chocolate flakes for hot drinks, and ultra-finely milled real chocolate for cold. Our chocolatiers spent years obsessively tasting, testing, and tweaking to get it just right.

Use unevenly grated chocolate or instant cocoa mix, and you risk more than a disappointing drink—you could end up with lumpy texture, uneven melting, or even heat pockets that strain the motor and knock the magnetic whisk out of place, which could damage your Velvetiser.

Wondering if you can toss in regular hot cocoa powder? We wouldn’t recommend it. The Velvetiser is designed to melt real chocolate at its ideal temperature, and instant cocoa just isn’t made to work with our vortex effect or thermodynamic programing.
