How to review your tasks

View and complete your assigned tasks

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Note: Your ability to view or action certain features depends on the permissions set up by your admin team. If you have questions about your access, please reach out to your team directly for assistance.

The My Tasks page brings together all your action items in one place, helping you stay on top of what needs your attention.

Accessing your tasks

  1. Navigate to My Tasks
Click on Tasks in the main sidebar navigation, or look for the tasks icon which may show a notification badge when you have pending items.

  2. View your task list
You'll see all your tasks organised by category, such as workflow tasks, approval requests, and performance reviews.

Understanding task types

Your tasks may include:

  • Workflow tasks – Actions assigned to you as part of an automated workflow (e.g., onboarding tasks, offboarding checklist items)

  • Time away approvals – Requests from your team members that need your approval (eg. if you're a manager or a set approver)

  • Performance reviews – Self-assessments or peer feedback to complete

  • Document signatures – Documents requiring your signature

  • Team tasks – Tasks assigned to your team rather than to you individually. You can view and claim these from the Team Tasks tab.

Completing a task

  1. Click on any task to view its details

  2. Review the information and requirements

  3. Take the necessary action (approve, complete, sign, etc.)

  4. The task will automatically be marked as complete

Team tasks

If your admin has assigned workflow tasks to your team, you will see a Team Tasks tab alongside your personal tasks.

  • Team tasks appear as unclaimed until a team member picks them up. All members of the assigned team can see the task.

  • To claim a team task, open it and assign yourself. Once claimed, the task moves to your personal task list.

  • If you need someone else on your team to handle a claimed task, you can reassign it to another member of the same team.

Task priorities

Tasks are typically sorted by due date, with the most urgent items appearing first. Look for deadline indicators to ensure you complete time-sensitive tasks promptly.

Staying organised

Check your Tasks page regularly to stay on top of your responsibilities. You may also receive email or Slack notifications for new tasks, depending on your notification settings.
