Engagement survey reporting

Engagement reporting turns survey responses into scores, trends, and themes you can act on. Results are grouped into three tabs, so you can move from a headline number to the specific group or comment behind it.

View the results

To view results, click Engagement in the main menu. Reporting appears across three tabs:

  • Overview

  • Results

  • Comments

Reporting of survey results won’t appear until the anonymity threshold is met. In this screenshot, results aren't displaying because the anonymity threshold of three hasn't been met.

Overview tab

The Overview tab shows your headline results. It includes the engagement score with its trend over time, the eNPS score and its distribution, the topics that moved most, your strongest topics, and your areas of concern.

Engagement panel

This panel displays:

  • Participation: the percentage of the audience who submitted a response.

  • Responded: the number who submitted against the number invited.

  • Comments: the number of written comments received.

  • Sense check: percentage of employees who responded positively, negatively, or neutrally.

Programme overview

This panel displays:

  • Survey preview

  • Survey link

  • Countdown to next survey

  • Number of participants who are eligible to participate

  • Survey timeline

  • Number of questions

  • Duration

eNPS score

This panel illustrates the Employee Net Promoter Score. It’s scored from −100 to +100, and is based on how likely people are to recommend the organisation as a place to work. The eNPS groups responses to the recommendation question by score. This is illustrated by a scale.

Participation

Check the percentage and numbers of participants based on different filter options including but not limited to department, team, manager, place of work, contract type, and nationality.

Biggest movers

This panel displays the topics whose scores changed most against your comparison baseline.

Topics

This panel displays your highest-scoring and lowest-scoring topics.

Results tab

The Results tab breaks scores down by topics, score, distribution, and responses. Two controls change what you see:

  • To switch between a table and a grid, set the view to List or Heatmap.

  • To change the unit, set Group by to Topics or Questions.

In the heatmap view, your reporting segments appear as columns. To change the segment, select a different option from the Columns control. To switch how cells are scored, set the Value to average or favourable. To reorder, click a column heading.

If no responses exist, a heatmap cell displays “No data,” and indicates when a group is below the anonymity threshold rather than showing a score.

Compare against a baseline

Trends and deltas are calculated against a comparison baseline. The comparison baseline controls which past point a score is measured against. To change it, use the Compare control. There are the following options for comparison:

  • Previous run

  • Specific runs

For example, compare how your Goal-setting score is now to the results received in a survey done three months ago. You’ll notice that the deltas change.

Comments tab

The Comments tab shows written feedback grouped by sentiment. To narrow the list, click the sentiment filter for positive, neutral, or negative. To find specific feedback, type in the search field. Each comment shows the question it relates to and is labelled anonymous.
