In this guide, we'll discuss the available Timesheet permissions that are available to provide users, and how to manage them.
Available permissions
Admin permissions
Determines which admin features users in this role have access to.
Timesheets | This permission allows the user to manage Timesheet settings. |
Data points
Determines how the user can view/manage timesheets, based on the Profile permission.
Can view timesheets | This permissions includes the option the view timesheets. |
Can submit timesheets | This permission includes the option to submit timesheets, and populating timesheets with a schedule. |
Can review timesheets | This permission includes the option to review timesheets that have been submitted and are in the process of being submitted. |
Please note that the level of these permissions depends on the Profile permissions that are set for the role. To learn more, see Managing Permissions and Roles.
Non-editable Timesheets permissions
It's worth noting that some Timesheets permissions are role-specific and cannot be changed:
Owners will always have the ability to view, submit and review Timesheets.
Admins will always have the ability to view Timesheets.
Managers will always have the ability to view Timesheets of their reports.
Users will always have the ability to view their own Timesheets.
Editing time away permissions
In the Home menu, click Settings, then click Permissions.
Select the role who'd permissions you'd like to edit.
Scroll down to Admin permissions, and edit the desired options within Timesheets.
Scroll down to Data points, and edit the desired options within Timesheets.
When you're ready, click Save in the top right hand corner to commit to the changes.
