Program Dashboard

Each program you add to your organization has a snapshot overview or dashboard. The dashboard is available to every member of your organization who has been added to that program.

Navigating the program dashboard

After you stand up a program, you are taken to the program dashboard. The program dashboard enables you to view all activities within a specific program. Let's discuss all the different areas when navigating within a program.

The areas that you'll find within a program are:

  • Program Dashboard: An overview of what's going on within the program. You'll find some items are hyperlinked and, when clicked on, will take you out to those items to view.

  • Details: Information about the program, like the name, framework, etc. You can also view and change the program owner, status, and see the overall health of the program.

  • Requirements: Requirements that make up the program will be shown here. You can click on these requirements to view more.

  • Controls: Controls that are linked to the requirements are shown here; this will only be the controls associated with this program.

  • Labels: Any labels linked to controls that are on this program will be shown here.

  • Issues: Any issues created that are tied to this program will be shown here.

  • Overflow Menu: In the overflow menu, you can find jumpstart, export proof or program, send activity to Slack, or archive program.

In the video below, we'll walk through all of the areas within a program.

The tutorial below is shown in the compliance manager role with organizational permission as a manager in Hyperproof. If you are in another role in Hyperproof or have a different permission, you may not have access to some of these areas shown, or they may be greyed out.

Tip

In Hyperproof, it's common to link the same piece of proof to multiple controls, thus generating multiple links per piece of proof.

The 'Proof links' number represents links to the unique pieces of proof in your program. Thus, the number in this program dashboard widget might differ from the number on the Programs page.

Program tabs

Now that we've navigated through the program dashboard, let's go through the other tabs available at the top of your program area. These tabs are important to be able to edit information about the program, manage your requirements on a program, see controls and labels associated with the program, access more information to utilize for the program, and add additional users to the program via the user Facepile.

Click the arrows below to learn more:

Details tab

On the Details tab, you can edit your program’s name, view its framework, add or edit the program’s description, edit the primary contact, and view a snapshot of the program’s overall health.

Note: To populate the health snapshot, you must change the program status to Operating.

Requirements tab

The Requirements tab displays the program requirements and their descriptions.

It also includes linked controls and proof

Controls tab

Think of the Controls tab as a filtered view of your controls. On this tab, you are viewing just the controls on this program (including any you have linked).

Along with viewing, you can also manage and click into controls - as well as import additional controls.

Labels tab

From the Labels tab you can view and manage the labels in your program.

When you add a label to a control, it will show in this list.

This is a list of all the labels on your program.

Issues tab

From the Issues tab you can view issues assigned to everyone and issues assigned to you.

Like other grids in Hyperproof, you can view tasks, issues, and approvals in card or grid view.

These work items can be filtered by clicking the Filter icon, and grid settings can be edited by clicking the Settings icon.

Additional options

Access additional options by clicking on the Kebab menu ... next to the labels tab.

In this area, you'll find options like Jumpstart, export your program, export proof, connect your program to Slack, and/or archive your program.

Facepile

Within the Facepile, you can:

  1. View program members

  2. Add/remove users to the program

  3. Change member permissions

The User Facepile can be found in a couple of different areas on Hyperproof. One area you will find is in your program.
