If you see "Connection error: Unable to connect to the Hyperproof server. Your computer may be offline - please check your connection and refresh this page.”

This message typically indicates a temporary network issue or caching issue. Here's how to troubleshoot it:

1. Refresh the page:

Press Control+R (or Command+R on Mac) to reload. Many users report this resolves the issue immediately.

2. Clear browser/site data:

Press F12 to open Developer Tools.

Click the Application tab.

Under Local Storage and Session Storage, locate Hyperproof.

Right-click on Hyperproof and select Clear.

Refresh the page again to see if the issue is resolved.

3. Try a different browser or use incognito/private mode

This can help determine if the problem is browser-specific or related to cached data.

4. If you are using a VPN, proxy, or VPN replacement (e.g., Netskope), test Hyperproof without using the VPN.

  • This can help determine if the problem is a client-side network misconfiguration, typically related to your VPN or proxy settings.

5. Contact support if the issue persists

  • If none of the above steps work, please email support@hyperproof.io to open a support case.

  • Include your VPN name, browser detail (e.g., Chrome or Edge), and operating system (Mac or Windows)

  • Tell us if you are connected to a corporate network or working from home.

  • Tell us if you have any special browser plugins or security tools installed.

Note: If the error occurs when trying to export and download proof, it may indicate you have a firewall preventing the download. Support may ask you to engage your IT to assist in the investigation.
