Unlinking a control from a program can be a little unintuitive at first, but once you understand the connections between programs, requirements, and controls, it's a breeze to do!
Controls are not linked directly to programs, rather they are linked to requirements that are part of programs. To unlink a control from a program you are going to unlink the control from the requirement in the program by following these steps:
Select Controls on the left menu.
Filter the list of controls to find the control you want to work with.
Click the control ID to get into the control details.
Alternatively, you could go to the program you want to unlink the control from, click the Controls tab, and go into the control details from there.
At the bottom of the control details, a list of tabs shows what objects are linked to the control.
Requirements is the first tab and shows which programs and requirements are linked to the control.
Hover over the requirement description for the program you want to unlink from the control.
You will see an unlink icon on the far right.
Click the unlink icon and confirm that you want to unlink the control.
